We often embed consulting and strategic advising in our grant writing work. We have brought in over 12 million dollars in grants for our clients over the past year alone.

Our desire is to support the overall health of the organizations we work with, their members, and the communities they serve. We are committed to liberatory practices towards our individual and collective growth and well-being, and in creating a society in which all people thrive. We fill in the gaps by providing individualized consulting geared towards high-impact community programs, developing leadership and capacity towards short and long-term growth and sustainability. We also focus on impacting systems change by supporting partnerships between organizations, and consulting with philanthropic organizations. Our work largely supports low-income & under-served communities and communities impacted by systemic oppression, including communities of color, those experiencing houselessness, immigrant/refugee communities, the LGBTQIA+ community, and those affected by the justice system. We have been working together for over 15 years, and are excited to bring our expertise, creativity, and passion to the right organizations.

About Us:
Fiona Smith (she/her) has worked in nonprofit leadership for over 20 years, and arrived at this work based on her own experiences as a queer & transgender young person who was an unaccompanied minor and experienced youth and young adult homelessness. Fiona has focused on low-income and oppressed communities, social justice, advocacy, community-based partnerships and organizing. Fiona finished a 12-year tenure as Executive Director of Northwest Education Access (formerly Seattle Education Access) in 2019. In that time, NWEA grew from a single-staff grassroots nonprofit to an organization with a 2.5 million dollar annual budget and over 20 full-time employees. Fiona has also worked extensively in direct service, providing wrap-around services and trauma-informed care.

Anomie Campbell (they/them) has a BA in Sociology and MA in Communication, and is a seasoned grant writer with over twenty years of grant writing experience and a background in program direction, evaluation, and project management for social service, government, youth development, gender justice, education and music/arts organizations. A writer and researcher, Anomie is an advocate for client-centered program design and community-driven, participatory philanthropy, and focuses on research methods and evaluation that center the voices of impacted communities.

We are both artists. Anomie is a violinist, composer, & multi-instrumentalist and has been funded by New Music USA, the Thomas J. Watson Foundation, 4Culture, Seattleā€™s Office of Arts & Culture, Artist Trust, and the Simpson Center For Humanities – and is currently collaborating with pioneering transgender choreographer, writer & activist, Sean Dorsey. Fiona is primarily a photographer and creative director, and as a transgender artist, focuses on queer and transgender representation.
